White water rafting in Scotland

When? Saturday 7th June 2008
Where? Near Pitlochry

WHERE? This year, we are going to take rafting to the next level, as our Rafting Big Day Out is taking place on the River Tummel in Perthshire.  Our start and finish line is situated close to Pitlochry – only one and a half hour’s drive from the central belt and Aberdeen.

The River Tummel is fed by a dam release of water from the upstream Clunie Dam.  So we can GUARANTEE the height of the water to give a great run!  It can be fairly technical in places, but is still suitable for beginners.  The course also has lots more rapids than the River Tay.  Beautiful scenery surrounds you as you descend the three miles of the river towards Loch Faskally.  The last rapid is breathtaking and will definitely give you an adrenalin-pumping thrill – but you’ll be up for it
