Family members, neighbours or friends, there are plenty of cars out there and they nearly always need washing!

Make loads of coffee, invite over all your friends and get them to make a donation for the occasion.

Computer games competition
Get a group of friends together who like playing computer games. Charge an entrance fee to play and then give half of the money collected to the winner and the other half to the charity.
Darts/Pool competition
Easily organised in your local pub. Everyone pays to enter with a proportion or maybe the entire total entrance fee going to your fundraising efforts.
Dog walking
Someone you know too busy to take their dog for a walk? Offer to do it for them and make some money for charity whilst getting a bit of exercise yourself.

Dare your friends to do something, if they decline make them pay!
Dress down day
Organise a dress down (or up!) day at work or colleague and make everyone pay £1, £2 or £5 for the privilege!

Duck Race
Buy a load of rubber ducks, find a river nearby (that you’ve got permission to use), sell the ducks to the public and the winner gets a price of your choice. The cash goes to Seafarers UK.

Convince your work colleagues to make New Year pledges and state that they have to pay you £5 every time they break the pledge. Watch the money roll in!

There will be plenty of people within your local community who would appreciate your assistance in doing their shopping for them and will gladly offer you money for the service

Know a friend or a work colleague that won’t keep quiet? Maybe you like to talk without stopping? There will be plenty of people who will happily offer money for some peace and quiet!
Supermarket bagging
Offer your services to the local supermarket and encourage the shoppers to donate some of their change to Seafarers UK in exchange for help with the bagging.

Work can be a stressful environment. There’s no reason why you cannot benefit from this though. Put a swear box in your office and watch the money roll in… especially on a Monday morning!
Sweep stake
Almost all sporting events lend themselves to a sweep stake at work or with friends and family. Whoever wins gets half the prize with the other half going to you.

Down the pub or in the park on a sunny afternoon, if you can find people willing to display a ‘talent’ of theirs people might pay to see it…
Team lunch
Get together with some colleagues, each pay £5 and you use a percentage of the money to buy lunch for everyone (cooking it if necessary). The money saved can go to your fundraising pot.

Unfortunately you will need your boss to agree to this! If he does agree then there is potential to make a great deal of money!!
Traffic light party
Wear Red, it means you are attached, wear Green it means you are available and if you wear Amber it means you are attached but may still be interested! A fun idea for a flirtatious party which you charge an entrance fee for people to attend.
Treasure hunt
For children of all ages! Set a series of clues which finally leads to the treasure. Set a fee to take part.
Wine tasting evening
Ask wine stores and clubs to donate wine for an evening of high culture and flavoursome delight. A set fee should be requested for attendance.
