Seafarers UK took part in the Lloyd’s Register Fairplay Cup on 19 June, an annual sailing event aimed at getting representatives of the different sectors of the Shipping Industry together. The event also gives Seafarers UK an opportunity to meet up with our corporate donors and encourage their support.
Team Seafarers UK guided the 2 Million Reasons (named after our new fundraising campaign) into a not unrespectable 13th place out of 24. The team who had never sailed together before worked together to guide the 2 Million Reasons around the Solent. We are very grateful to all those who joined the team from Maersk Company ltd, NYK LNG Ship Management ltd, Cayman Island Shipping Industry and Registry and The Difference Design and look forward to working again with them soon.
