The ancient Cathedral of Glasgow has many proud connections with the sea and seafarers. To that end, it is staging what it hopes will be an annual special service to celebrate that link.   The “Seafarers Service” will be held on the 19th October 2008 and all and any who have links with sea will be welcome to join the morning service at 11am.  It is anticipated that the RN, RM, Merchant Navy, RNLI, Coastguard, RN Association, Sea Cadets and The Glasgow College of Nautical Studies, to name but some, will be represented.  It is also hoped that the RM Band Scotland will play.
